In an ironic turn of events, the day I awoke to the photography prompt “red” I drew the curtains on a scene of the most brilliant white. Undeterred, I hustled mum into her wellies and assorted jumpers and we set out on a quest for colour. All things considered, we did not badly and the choice of spicy tomato soup for lunch was a bit inspired. (Thankfully I did not restrict myself religiously to the given prompt as, predictably, as soon as all the snow had melted the “pure/white” came up. I also banked a few cheeky aconites, the mahonia and some saffron soup in case of “yellow”).
Anyway, this post is just a shameless excuse for sharing some lovely snowy pictures. Have fun spotting the red bits and do try the soups – I’ve uploaded the recipes.
